Discover more about Lindquist Beach

Lindquist Beach, also known as Smith Bay Park, is a 21-acre protected preserve located on the northeastern end of St. Thomas. It stands out as one of the island's most beautiful and unspoiled beaches, offering visitors a serene and picturesque tropical experience. The beach boasts soft, white sand with a subtle pink hue and crystal-clear, turquoise waters perfect for swimming and snorkeling. The calm waters make it an ideal spot for families and beginner snorkelers, with diverse marine life easily visible near the shore. The right side of the beach is particularly good for snorkeling. Lindquist Beach is managed by the Magens Bay Authority, ensuring it remains clean and well-maintained. Amenities include a lifeguard, restrooms, showers, and picnic tables, making it a comfortable place to spend the day. Note that there are no food or drink vendors on site, so it's essential to bring your own refreshments. Over the years, various development proposals for the area have been rejected, ensuring that Lindquist Beach remains a natural haven. In 2006, the government purchased the surrounding land, solidifying its status as a protected park. While the correct spelling is Lindqvist, the English rule of a 'u' following 'q' was adopted over time.
