The Lumut Lighthouse (Rumah Api Lumut) is an active navigational beacon located in the Belait District of Brunei, specifically in Kampong Sungai Kayu Ara. Overseen by the Maritime and Port Authority of Brunei Darussalam (MPABD), this lighthouse is a significant landmark, offering breathtaking views of the coastline and the South China Sea. Standing 32 meters (105 ft) tall, the lighthouse is painted in a distinctive red, white, and blue pattern. Its modern light-emitting diode lighting emits three white flashes every 15 seconds, with a range of 45 kilometers (28 mi), guiding ships safely toward Lumut. Completed in November 2004 and inaugurated in March 2005, the lighthouse has become a symbol of maritime safety and the region's rich seafaring past.
