    Taman Mahkota Jubli Emas is centrally located in Bandar Seri Begawan, making it easily accessible on foot from many points in the city center. From the Royal Regalia Museum, walk south along Jalan Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien, then turn left onto Jalan Masjid Omar Ali Saifuddien. The park will be on your right, next to the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque. The walk is approximately 500 meters and should take about 10 minutes. There is no cost for walking.

The park was opened on October 22, 2017, to commemorate the Golden Jubilee of Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah's accession to the throne. The park is located on the banks of the Kedayan River as it approaches its confluence with the Brunei River. The park is the result of the Sungai Kedayan Eco-Corridor project, which aimed to revitalize the Kedayan River through flood mitigation, environmental rehabilitation, and the development of public spaces. The park is part of the broader Bandar Seri Begawan Development Master Plan, which seeks to revitalize the capital. The park features a 6-meter wide promenade for pedestrians and cyclists, as well as gardens and green spaces for recreation.
