Located in the Tutong District, approximately 70 kilometers from Bandar Seri Begawan, this S-shaped lake is a haven for nature enthusiasts and those seeking tranquility. The lake's distinctive black water, caused by tannins from falling leaves, creates a unique and mesmerizing sheen.The park is recognized as the first ASEAN Heritage Park in 1984, highlighting its importance in biodiversity conservation. Car
If driving from Tutong Town, head northwest on Jalan Tutong towards Jalan Kianggeh. Continue on Jalan Kianggeh for about 6 kilometers until you reach the Tasek Merimbun road sign. Turn left onto the access road and follow the signs for approximately 3 kilometers until you arrive at Tasek Merimbun. Parking is available near the lake.

From Tutong Town, take a bus heading towards Bangar. Alight at the junction nearest to Tasek Merimbun; it's advisable to confirm the best stop with the bus driver. From the junction, it is approximately a 2-kilometer walk to the lake following the road signs. Bus fares are generally inexpensive in Brunei.
