Belait Beach: Brunei's Serene Coastal Escape

Belait Beach, or Pantai Belait, is a serene coastal treasure in Kuala Belait, Brunei, offering a peaceful retreat from bustling city life. The beach once stretched to Pelumpong Island but was separated at Muara Beach. Today, it remains a favorite spot for locals and tourists alike, seeking relaxation and natural beauty. In 1930, a telephone line was constructed along the coastline, linking Seria and Rasau. In 1934, the beach served as a highway between Kuala Belait and the Tutong District, with a ferry connecting passengers across the Tutong River. During World War II, the beach was the site of a Japanese amphibious assault in 1941. Visitors can enjoy various activities such as surf fishing and picnicking.
