Belait Beach, or Pantai Belait, is a serene coastal treasure in Kuala Belait, Brunei, offering a peaceful retreat from bustling city life. The beach once stretched to Pelumpong Island but was separated at Muara Beach. Today, it remains a favorite spot for locals and tourists alike, seeking relaxation and natural beauty.The beach provides soft sand and gentle waves, ideal for leisurely strolls and unwinding. The calm atmosphere, fresh sea breeze, and scenic views create a perfect laid-back coastal experience. Offshore platforms from the South West Ampa Field can be seen in the distance, adding a unique element to the landscape.Belait Beach also holds historical significance. In 1930, a telephone line was constructed along the coastline, linking Seria and Rasau. In 1934, the beach served as a highway between Kuala Belait and the Tutong District, with a ferry connecting passengers across the Tutong River. During World War II, the beach was the site of a Japanese amphibious assault in 1941.Visitors can enjoy various activities such as surf fishing and picnicking. The beach is known for its breathtaking sunsets, offering stunning photo opportunities. While there are limited facilities directly on the beach, nearby eateries provide local cuisine.
