In 1934, the beach served as a highway between Kuala Belait and the Tutong District, with a ferry connecting passengers across the Tutong River. During World War II, the beach was the site of a Japanese amphibious assault in 1941.Visitors can enjoy various activities such as surf fishing and picnicking.
