Getting There

Car

If you are driving from Bandar Seri Begawan, take the Sultan Hassanal Bolkiah Highway towards Seria. The journey is approximately 91 km and takes around 1 hour and 17 minutes. Once in Seria, follow the signs to Jalan Tengah and Simpang 16. Seria Energy Lab is located at J88G+VVM, Simpang 16. Parking is available near the lab.
Public Transport

From Bandar Seri Begawan, take bus number 881 or 882 to Seria Bus Terminal. The journey takes approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes and costs around $5 BND. From the Seria Bus Terminal, you can take a local purple bus towards Kuala Belait and ask the driver to drop you off near Seria Energy Lab. Alternatively, a taxi from the bus terminal to the lab is a short ride.

The goal is to cultivate innovative, next-generation thinkers who can contribute to Brunei's Vision 2035, which aims to develop well-educated and highly skilled individuals.SEL offers a range of interactive exhibits designed to spark curiosity and provide an immersive learning experience. The exhibitions cover various aspects of energy, including the history of Brunei Shell Petroleum (BSP), the unique geology of Brunei, renewable energy sources, and the importance of energy conservation. A highlight is the Aqualab Zone, which features large aquariums showcasing coral reefs and marine ecosystems found beneath oil rigs. Visitors can also enjoy science exhibits with a 'play and learn' concept, making it a fun and educational experience for all ages.In addition to its exhibits, Seria Energy Lab offers various educational science programs for students and the general public. These programs are designed to be interactive and engaging, promoting active participation and enhancing skills needed for the 21st century. The center also hosts events and workshops, such as the Women in Science (WIS) Competition, to encourage young women to pursue STEM fields.
