The Brunei Energy Hub Dermaga Diraja, also known as the Royal Wharf, offers visitors a look into Brunei's energy sector. Located in the heart of Bandar Seri Begawan, the hub occupies the former Royal Customs and Excise Building, which was built in 1956. The building initially served as a wharf for administrative purposes. Over time, it has been renovated to become an interactive oil and gas museum. Brunei Shell Petroleum sponsored the renovation. The Energy Hub seeks to educate the public about the oil and gas industry and encourage the growth of Brunei's artistic scene. The museum contains four exhibition galleries, a cafeteria, a souvenir shop, and a viewing deck. The first gallery, titled 'Our Past: Footsteps in Time', showcases the history of oil and gas in Brunei. The second gallery, 'Our Present: The Nation's Aspiration', highlights the country's oil and gas industry today. The fourth gallery serves as a temporary art gallery for local artists to display their work. Visitors can also enjoy interactive games and informative displays. The building's architecture blends colonial and constructivist styles. It is situated at Dermaga Diraja and has the Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha Bridge as a backdrop.
