Getting There

    From the heart of Bandar Seri Begawan, such as the Omar Ali Saifuddien Mosque, the walk to Tasek Lama Waterfall takes approximately 30 minutes. Head north-east on Jalan Sultan Omar Ali Saifuddien, then turn right onto Jalan Bendahara. Continue as the road merges onto Jalan Tasek, following the road until you reach the service road leading to the park entrance. The waterfall is a short walk from the parking lot.

    From the BSB Bus Terminal, take Bus 36 or 38 and ask the driver to drop you off at Tasik Lama (3rd bus stop) along the way. From the bus stop, follow the signs to Tasek Lama Recreational Park. The waterfall is a short walk from the parking area. A bus ride costs BND 1 for adults.

Hiking trails lead to Bukit Sarang Helang and other hills, providing panoramic views of the park and the surrounding area. Birdwatchers will also appreciate the park's diverse bird population, with around 80 species known to inhabit the area.Historically, the waterfall played a vital role in Brunei's water supply. A concrete dam was built at the summit in 1926 to direct water flow to Brunei Town (now Bandar Seri Begawan). This initiative marked the beginning of efforts to improve the water supply system for the growing population. Today, Tasek Lama Waterfall remains a cherished natural landmark and a testament to Brunei's commitment to preserving its natural heritage.
