Located in Brunei's capital, Bandar Seri Begawan, the Ash Shaliheen Mosque is a striking example of Moroccan-influenced architecture. Opened in 2012, the mosque distinguishes itself with a design that draws inspiration from the Moorish and Andalusian styles of North Africa. Designed by Egyptian architect Abdel-Wahed El-Wakil, the mosque is intended to be an oasis of spiritual meaning.The mosque can accommodate up to 700 worshippers. Its features include a retractable roof, allowing natural light and ventilation. The courtyard has water features, Moroccan mosaics, a marble fountain, and brass lamps. Inside, the prayer halls showcase hand-carved Moroccan mosaics and Arabic calligraphy. The mosque also includes a multipurpose hall, ablution areas, and parking for around 130 vehicles.Visitors should dress modestly, and women are required to cover their heads, shoulders, and knees. Robes and shawls are often provided. The mosque provides a peaceful environment for prayer and contemplation.

From the main bus terminal in Bandar Seri Begawan, take Bus No. 1 or 2. These buses travel along Jalan Perdana Menteri. Alight at the bus stop nearest to the mosque. The fare is approximately BND 1. From there, it is a short walk to the Ash Shaliheen Mosque.
Taxi/Ride-sharing
Taxis and ride-sharing services like Dart are readily available in Bandar Seri Begawan. Provide the driver with the address: Jalan Perdana Menteri, Bandar Seri Begawan. From the city center, head southwest on Jalan Tutong towards Jalan Perdana Menteri. Continue onto Jalan Perdana Menteri for approximately 3 km. The mosque will be on your right. Parking is available near the mosque. Parking is free.
