Local know-how to help you travel smarter and make the most of every moment.
Car
If you're traveling by car, start from Bansko town center. Head east on Pirin Street (Pirin St) and continue onto the road leading to the ski area. Follow the signs towards the ski lift station (Gondola Lift). After approximately 3 km, keep an eye out for the sign indicating the Bansko Panoramic Viewpoint. You will need to park at the designated area near the viewpoint, which is free of charge.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from the Bansko bus station to the Bansko ski area. Buses run frequently, and the fare is typically around 2-3 BGN (Bulgarian Lev). Once you arrive at the ski area, you can either walk (approximately 30 minutes uphill) or take a taxi to the viewpoint. Make sure to confirm the taxi fare beforehand, as it may vary.
Walking
If you prefer to hike, you can start your journey from the town center. Head towards the Gondola Lift station and follow the marked trails leading to the Bansko Panoramic Viewpoint. The walk is about 2.5 km uphill and will take around 45 minutes to 1 hour. Be sure to wear comfortable hiking shoes and bring water, especially during warmer months.
