Getting There

  • Car

    From Plovdiv, take the main road towards Asenovgrad (E80). Continue on E80 for approximately 15 kilometers until you reach the town of Asenovgrad. In Asenovgrad, follow signs for Batschkovo Monastery. Turn left onto Republika II-86 and continue for about 6 kilometers. The Monastery ossuary is located on the right side of the road at the address Republikanски път II–86 53, 4251 Batschkovo. There is usually parking available nearby.

    From Plovdiv, head to the central bus station and take a bus heading to Asenovgrad. The bus ride takes about 30 minutes. Once you arrive in Asenovgrad, you can either walk (approximately 6 kilometers) or take a taxi to the Monastery ossuary. If you choose to walk, head towards Republika II-86 and follow the road towards Batschkovo Monastery, which will lead you directly to the ossuary.
