Follow the signs for Veliko Tarnovo and continue driving into the city. Once in Veliko Tarnovo, look for signs directing you to the Kartala area. You may need to navigate through local roads, but GPS navigation will be very helpful. Once you reach the locality of Kartala, you will need to park your car in the designated parking area and continue on foot to the waterfall, which is around a 1-hour walk from the parking area.

To reach Waterfall Kartala from Plovdiv using public transportation, take a train or bus to Veliko Tarnovo. Trains are available from the Plovdiv train station, and buses can be caught from the South Bus Station in Plovdiv. The journey takes approximately 2-3 hours depending on the mode of transport. Once in Veliko Tarnovo, you will need to take a local taxi or arrange for a local shuttle to the Kartala area; the taxi ride should take around 20 minutes. After arriving in Kartala, you will have to walk approximately 1 hour to reach Waterfall Kartala.
