This intriguing cave is veiled in mystery and local legends, most notably those concerning the legendary Bulgarian rebel, Valchan Voyvoda, and his hidden treasure. Historically, the cave is said to have been inhabited by a colony of seals, hence its name, which translates to "Seal Cave." According to local lore, the colony originated from a pair of seals released into the area by Queen Maria of Romania. In 1878, remains of a monk seal, likely the last one in the area, were discovered inside the cave. Reaching the cave is an adventure in itself, as it is only accessible by boat, typically a taxi boat from the Primorsko quay.
