Kirilova Polyana Meadow: A Rila Mountain Escape

After 1944, the meadow was renamed Partisan Meadow by the communists, as it served as a hiding place for the Rila-Pirin partisan detachment. However, after the democratic changes in 1989, its original name was restored. Today, Kirilova Polyana remains easily accessible and a popular destination for a day trip.
