If you are starting your journey from Sofia, take the A1 highway towards Blagoevgrad. Continue on A1 and then take the exit towards Rila Monastery (Road 62). Drive for about 90 kilometers until you reach the town of Yakoruda. Once in Yakoruda, follow signs for Rila Mountain and park your car at the designated parking area.
