If you're traveling by car from Sofia Valley, set your GPS to the coordinates 42.706884, 25.348694. Take the main road towards Kazanlak (Road 6) and follow the signs for Kazanlak. As you enter Kazanlak, look for signs directing you to the Thracian tombs. The tomb is located about 7 km from the center of Kazanlak, just off the main road. There is usually parking available near the site.

Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Sofia Valley to Kazanlak. Buses frequently depart from the central bus station. Once in Kazanlak, exit at the central bus station and look for local minibuses (marshrutkas) heading towards the Thracian tombs. These usually depart from nearby the bus station. The ride should take about 15 minutes. Make sure to tell the driver you're going to the Shushmanets Thracian Tomb, as they are familiar with the destination. There might be a small fee for the bus or minibus, typically around 2-3 BGN.
