Car
If you are traveling by car, start from the center of Strandzha. Head southeast on the main road (Route 99) towards Tsarevo. Continue on Route 99 for approximately 30 km until you reach the village of Golyamo Gradishte. Turn left onto the local road leading to the village. The road may be narrow and winding, so drive cautiously. Once in the village, follow the signs to the Golyamo Gradishte peak. There is no parking fee in the village.
Public Transportation
For those using public transportation, take a bus from Strandzha to Tsarevo. The bus station is located in the town center. Buses run several times a day, and the ticket costs around 3-5 BGN. Upon arriving in Tsarevo, you will need to catch a local minibus to Golyamo Gradishte. The minibus departs from the main bus station in Tsarevo and costs approximately 2 BGN. Inform the driver that you are going to Golyamo Gradishte, and they will drop you off at the nearest point to the peak. Be prepared for a short walk from the drop-off point to the peak.
Hiking
If you prefer hiking, you can reach Golyamo Gradishte by following the marked trails from the surrounding areas. Start your hike from the nearest village and follow the guide signs towards the peak. Make sure to wear proper hiking shoes, carry enough water, and check the weather conditions before you start your hike. The trails can vary in difficulty, so choose a route that matches your fitness level.
