Walking

From the city center, most attractions are easily accessible on foot. Walking from the Dormition of the Theotokos Cathedral to the Roman Baths takes about 10-15 minutes. The Sea Garden is a short walk from the city center, offering a pleasant stroll along the coast.

Public Transport

Varna has an extensive public transport network. From Varna Airport (VAR), take bus line 409 to reach the city center, which costs approximately 3 BGN. Within the city, a single bus ticket costs 1 BGN. Buses 9 and 31A also connect the central railway station with the city center.

Taxi

Taxis are readily available throughout Varna. A short taxi ride within the city center typically costs between 5 and 10 BGN. Ensure the taxi is licensed and the meter is running.

Parking

If driving, be aware of the 'Blue Zone' paid parking system in the city center, active Monday to Sunday from 9:00 AM to 8:00 PM. Payment can be made via SMS, the 'Mpark' mobile app, or parking meters. Hourly rates are around 1 BGN, and a full-day ticket via the app costs 16 BGN. Several car parks are available, including those at Varna Municipality and the Railway Station.
