Car
If you are traveling by car from Bubanza, head southeast on Avenue de l'Indépendance toward Avenue du 1er Novembre. Continue straight for about 3 kilometers. You will see signs for Kibira National Park as you approach Busiga. Follow the signs, and as you reach the coordinates 2G22+225 in Busiga, you will arrive at the park entrance. Make sure to check if you need to pay any entrance fees; typically, these can vary based on the type of activities you plan to do in the park.
Public Transportation
If using public transportation, start by taking a local bus or shared taxi from Bubanza to Gitega, which usually takes about 45 minutes. Once you arrive in Gitega, you will need to find a taxi-brousse (shared minibus) heading to Busiga. This part of the journey may take an additional 30-45 minutes. When you reach Busiga, ask the driver or locals for directions to Kibira National Park. The park entrance is located at coordinates 2G22+225. Be prepared to pay for your entry fee once you arrive.
