Car
If you are driving, start from the center of Bujumbura and head south on Avenue de la République. Continue straight to the R.N.3 Rumonge Highway. You will pass through various towns and villages along the way. Follow the signs towards Rumonge. After approximately 30 kilometers, you will reach the town of Kagongo. Look for signs indicating Sunstone Beach on your right. There is a parking area available at the beach.

To reach Sunstone Beach via public transport, take a minibus (known locally as 'taxi-brousse') from Bujumbura to Rumonge. You can find these minibuses at the main bus station in Bujumbura. The fare is typically around 1,000 BIF (Burundian Francs). The journey will take approximately 1 to 1.5 hours. Once you arrive in Rumonge, ask the driver to drop you off at Kagongo. From there, you can either walk for about 10-15 minutes to reach Sunstone Beach, or you can hire a motorcycle taxi (around 1,000 BIF) to take you directly to the beach.
