Car
From Buyenzi, start by heading south on Avenue du Large towards Avenue de la Paix. Continue straight for about 3 km until you reach the junction with Route Nationale 1 (RN1). Turn left onto RN1 and drive for approximately 8 km. Look for signs indicating Nyarumanga and Mount Heha. Follow the signs, which will lead you through the scenic countryside. You may need to ask locals for additional directions as you approach Nyarumanga, which is the nearest town to Mount Heha. The drive should take about 30-40 minutes, depending on traffic.

Public Transportation
Begin your journey at a local bus station in Buyenzi. Take a bus heading towards Nyarumanga. The buses usually leave every 30 minutes. The ride to Nyarumanga will take approximately 45 minutes to an hour. Once you arrive in Nyarumanga, you can take a local moto-taxi (motorcycle taxi) to Mount Heha. Negotiate the fare before starting your ride; it should cost around 2,000 BIF (Burundian Francs). The moto-taxi will take you closer to the base of Mount Heha, and you can ask the driver to drop you off at the nearest trailhead.

If you prefer to hike, start from Nyarumanga village. From the village center, you can follow the marked trails leading up to Mount Heha. The hike is moderately challenging and will take about 2-3 hours depending on your pace. Make sure to wear appropriate hiking shoes and carry enough water and snacks.
