    Getting There

    Car

    From Buyogoma, head northeast on Avenue du Parc towards Avenue de l'Indépendance. Continue straight for about 3.5 km until you reach the intersection with Route Nationale 1. Turn left onto Route Nationale 1 and drive for approximately 15 km. Look for signs indicating Nyarumanga. Once you reach Nyarumanga, follow the signs toward Mount Heha. The road may become narrower and less paved as you approach the mountain. There is no entrance fee to access Mount Heha, but consider carrying some cash for small local purchases.

    Public Transportation

    From the main bus station in Buyogoma, take a shared taxi or minibus heading towards Nyarumanga. The fare is usually around 500-1000 BIF (Burundian Francs). Inform the driver that you are going to Mount Heha. The journey may take about 30-45 minutes depending on traffic. Once you reach Nyarumanga, you can either walk to the mountain (approximately a 2 km walk) or hire a local guide or motorcycle taxi for about 2000-3000 BIF to take you closer to the base of Mount Heha.
