    From the center of Gitega, head west on Avenue de l'Unité. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach a large intersection. At the intersection, turn left onto Avenue du 1er Novembre. Keep walking for about 500 meters. You will pass by local shops and small eateries along the way. Continue on this road until you see a sign pointing to 'Monument de l'Unité'. After about 200 meters, you will arrive at the Monument de l'Unité, located at coordinates HWFJ+CJV.

    If you are starting from the Gitega Cathedral, exit the cathedral grounds and turn right onto Avenue de l'Unité. Walk straight for approximately 1.2 kilometers. When you reach the large roundabout, take the first exit onto Avenue du 1er Novembre. Proceed for about 300 meters; the monument will be on your right side. Look for the distinctive structure of the Monument de l'Unité, which is easily recognizable.
