If you are traveling by car from the center of Karusi, head southwest on Avenue de l'Indépendance towards Avenue de la Révolution. Continue straight for about 10 kilometers until you reach the junction at the Route Nationale 1. Turn right onto Route Nationale 1 and drive for approximately 80 kilometers. You will pass through Giheta and Gitega. Keep an eye out for signs indicating Bujumbura. As you approach Bujumbura, follow the signs to the Rweza neighborhood. The Unity Monument is located at J94Q+R94 in Rweza, which is visible from the main road. There is typically no entrance fee to visit the monument.

The bus fare is generally affordable, around 2,000 BIF (Burundian Francs).
