Walking
From the center of Kirundo, head east on Avenue de l'Indépendance towards Avenue des Nations Unies. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Route Nationale 2. Walk for approximately 2 kilometers; you will pass several small shops and local eateries. Keep an eye out for directional signs pointing towards Nyanza. Once you see the sign for Nyanza, continue along Route Nationale 2 for another 3 kilometers. The King's Palace Museum will be on your left, just past the entrance to the Nyanza town.

Bicycle
If you are renting a bicycle, start from the Kirundo town square and pedal east on Avenue de l'Indépendance. Continue along this road for about 1 kilometer until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Route Nationale 2 and cycle for about 2 kilometers. You will notice a more open landscape as you leave Kirundo behind. Keep following Route Nationale 2 for another 3 kilometers until you see the sign for Nyanza. The museum will be on your left side just after entering the town.
