Turn left onto Rue du 13 Octobre and continue walking straight for about 1.5 kilometers. You will pass several local shops and eateries along the way. Keep an eye out for signage that indicates you are heading towards Bujumbura. Once you reach the entrance to Bujumbura Zoo, you will see the large gates and the sign marking the zoo.

    Locate the nearest bus stop in Kirundo where local buses depart towards Bujumbura. Board a bus that has Bujumbura as its destination. The journey may take around 2-3 hours, depending on traffic. When you arrive at the bus station in Bujumbura, exit the bus and ask for directions to Rue du 13 Octobre. Walk for about 10 minutes towards Rue du 13 Octobre, and you will find Bujumbura Zoo on your right.
