If you are in the center of Kirundo, start at the main market area. Head east on Avenue de la Révolution. Continue straight for about 800 meters until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenue de l'Indépendance, which leads out of the city center. Walk for approximately 1.5 kilometers until you see a sign directing you toward Bujumbura. Follow this road, and after about 2 kilometers, you will find a local bus stop. From here, you can catch a bus heading towards Bujumbura.
