Getting There

Bicycle
Start from the center of Kirundo town. Head south on Avenue du 1er Novembre. Continue straight until you reach the intersection with Route Nationale 4 (R.N.4). Turn left onto R.N.4 and cycle for approximately 12 kilometers. Along the way, you will pass through several small villages. Keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Rusizi National Park. Once you reach Kinyinya, follow the signs to the park entrance. The park is located at M74H+8HX, R.N.4.

Walking
From the center of Kirundo, walk south on Avenue du 1er Novembre. After about 1 kilometer, you'll reach the junction with Route Nationale 4 (R.N.4). Here, you can either continue walking along R.N.4 or find a local who can assist you with directions. The park is about 12 kilometers from Kirundo, so it might be a good idea to find a local taxi bicycle (known as 'moto taxi') to take you the rest of the way. If you choose to walk, maintain a steady pace and enjoy the scenery along the route. Be sure to ask locals for more specific directions as you approach Kinyinya.
