Start your journey at the central market in Assomada, a bustling place where you can find local goods. From the market, head north on Rua 5 de Julho. Walk straight for about 600 meters until you reach the intersection with Rua de Lisboa. Turn left onto Rua de Lisboa and continue walking for another 400 meters until you reach the main bus terminal in Assomada. Here, you can inquire about local transport options.
Minibus
At the main bus terminal, look for minibuses heading towards Palmeira. These are typically marked with their destination. The minibus ride will take approximately 30-45 minutes. Enjoy the scenic views along the way. Alight once you reach Palmeira, the nearest town to Buracona.
Walking
Once you arrive in Palmeira, ask locals for directions to Buracona - Blue Eye Cave, as it is a popular spot. From the town center, walk towards the coast, following signs pointing towards Buracona. The walk is about 2 kilometers along a dirt path, which may involve some rugged terrain, so wear appropriate footwear. You will eventually see signs guiding you to the cave.
