If you are starting from the town of Sal Rei, head southwest on Avenida dos Pescadores towards Rua 5 de Julho. Continue straight for about 1 km until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida de Praia. Follow this road, which will turn into a dirt path, for about 3 km. Keep an eye out for signs directing you to Chaves Beach. Once you reach the beach entrance, you can walk along the sandy pathway to access the beach area.
Bicycle
Starting from Sal Rei, rent a bicycle from one of the local shops. Head south on Avenida dos Pescadores, then take a left onto Rua 5 de Julho. Continue to the roundabout and take the second exit onto Avenida de Praia. Follow this road as it becomes a dirt path, cycling for approximately 3 km. You will see signs directing you to Chaves Beach. Once you reach the beach entrance, secure your bicycle in a safe location before heading to the beach.
Public Transport
From Sal Rei, locate the nearest bus stop that services the route to Chaves Beach. Board the bus heading towards the beach area. The bus ride will take approximately 20 minutes. Notify the driver of your stop, and they will let you off at the Chaves Beach stop. Follow the short path from the bus stop to the beach entrance.
