Car
If you are driving from the center of Praia de Chaves, head southwest on Avenida 25 de Setembro towards Rua de Barlavento. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. Take the second exit onto Rua de Barlavento. Follow this road for about 1.5 km. You will see signs directing you to Chaves Beach. The beach is located at the end of the road. Parking is available near the beach, and it is usually free.
Public Transportation
To reach Chaves Beach by public transport, look for a local minibus (known as 'aluguer') heading towards the beach. You can find these minibuses near the main square in Praia de Chaves. The fare is typically around 50 CVE (Cape Verdean Escudos). Inform the driver that you wish to go to Chaves Beach. The journey will take about 10-15 minutes, and you will be dropped off near the entrance to the beach. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they stop at Chaves Beach before boarding.
Walking
If you are already staying near the beach and wish to walk, head towards the coastline from your accommodation. Depending on your starting point, follow local paths or roads that lead directly to Chaves Beach. It’s about a 20-minute walk from the center of Praia de Chaves.
