Car
Start your journey from Praia de Cruz by heading south on the main road (EN1-SV01). Follow the signs towards Sal Rei. After approximately 12 kilometers, keep an eye out for signs directing you towards Praia de Santa Mónica. You will turn left onto a smaller road that leads directly to the beach. The drive should take around 20-25 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Please note that parking may be available at the beach, but it can fill up quickly during peak hours.

From Praia de Cruz, you can take a local 'aluguer' (shared taxi) heading towards Sal Rei. Make sure to confirm with the driver that they will stop near Praia de Santa Mónica, as some may not go directly there. The ride will take about 30 minutes. Upon arrival, you may have a short walk to the beach depending on where you are dropped off. Expect to pay around 100 CVE (Cape Verdean Escudo) for the fare.
