If you are starting from Praça Alexandre de Almeida, head southeast towards Avenida 5 de Julho. Continue on Avenida 5 de Julho until you reach the intersection with Rua da Liberdade. Turn right onto Rua da Liberdade and walk straight for about 500 meters. You will pass by several shops and local eateries. Continue straight until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Rua de 31 de Janeiro. After about 200 meters, you will see Quartel Jaime Mota on your left, marked by its distinct architecture.
Public Transport
From the Municipal Market in Praia, take a local 'Aluguer' (shared taxi) heading towards Achada de Santo António. Inform the driver that you want to get off at the Quartel Jaime Mota. The ride should take about 10-15 minutes, depending on traffic. Once you get off, the Quartel Jaime Mota will be just a short walk away. Head back down the street you arrived on, and you will see the Quartel Jaime Mota ahead on your right.

Turn left onto Avenida 5 de Julho, then continue straight until you reach the roundabout. From there, take the first exit onto Rua de 31 de Janeiro. After about 200 meters, Quartel Jaime Mota will be visible on your left. It's a short and pleasant walk, allowing you to enjoy the views of Praia.
