Getting There

• Car

  If you are driving from Santa Maria, head northwest on Avenida 5 de Julho toward the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Rua 15 de Agosto. Continue straight until you reach the traffic lights and turn left onto the street named Urbanização da Cabocan. Follow this road until you reach Meliá Tortuga Beach - All Inclusive, which will be on your right. Note: Parking is available at the hotel, but ensure you check for any associated costs.

• Public Transportation

  To reach Meliá Tortuga Beach via public transport, take a local 'Aluguer' (shared taxi) from Santa Maria. Head to the main taxi stand near the beach. Inform the driver that you want to go to Meliá Tortuga Beach. The fare is typically around 3-5 CVE (Cape Verdean Escudo) per person. The drive should take approximately 10-15 minutes. Get off when you see the hotel entrance on the right.

• Walking

  If you are staying near Santa Maria Beach, you can walk to Meliá Tortuga Beach. Start by heading northwest along the beach promenade. Continue walking past the various local shops and restaurants until you reach the intersection with Rua 15 de Agosto. Turn left and walk straight until you reach the roundabout. From there, follow the road to Urbanização da Cabocan, and you will see the hotel on your right after a short distance. This walk will take roughly 30-40 minutes.
