Walking
From the center of Santa Maria, head towards the main street, Avenida 5 de Julho. Walk straight down this avenue until you reach the beach area. When you reach the intersection with Rua 15 de Agosto, turn left. Continue walking until you see Praia António Sousa on your right. It will be just a short walk from the main street.
Bicycle
If you have access to a bicycle, rent one from a local shop in Santa Maria. Start from the center and head towards Avenida 5 de Julho, then ride straight until you reach the beach. When you get to the intersection with Rua 15 de Agosto, turn left and continue until you find Praia António Sousa on your right. This route is pleasant and allows you to enjoy the coastal scenery.
Taxi
If you prefer a quicker option, you can hail a taxi from anywhere in Santa Maria. Simply tell the driver you want to go to Praia António Sousa, and they will take you directly to the beach. Make sure to agree on the fare before starting your ride to avoid any misunderstandings.
Public Transport (Mini-Bus)
Look for a mini-bus heading towards the beach area. These can usually be found near the main square. Hop on and tell the driver you want to get off at Praia António Sousa. The bus will drop you off close to the beach entrance. Make sure to have some change ready for the fare.
