From the center of Santa Maria, head towards Avenida 5 de Julho. Walk east until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida Amílcar Cabral. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the beach. Ilhas Cabo Verde is located to the east of Santa Maria beach, so head towards the coastal path along the beach.
