Walking
From the center of Santa Maria, head towards Avenida 5 de Julho. Walk east until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto Avenida Amílcar Cabral. Continue straight for about 1 kilometer until you reach the beach. Ilhas Cabo Verde is located to the east of Santa Maria beach, so head towards the coastal path along the beach. You should see directional signs pointing towards Ilhas Cabo Verde.

Rent a bicycle from one of the local shops in Santa Maria. Start at the main square and cycle along Avenida 5 de Julho towards the beach. Continue to Avenida Amílcar Cabral and then follow the coastal path towards the east. Keep an eye out for signs indicating Ilhas Cabo Verde. The ride should take approximately 10-15 minutes depending on your pace.
