Car
If you are traveling by car, start your journey from the capital city, Porto Novo. Head northwest on the main road (Road EN1-SA01) towards the town of Riberia Grande. After about 30 minutes, you will reach Riberia Grande. Continue on the same road, enjoying the stunning coastal views. Drive for approximately another 20 minutes until you see signs for Ponta Adiante. Turn right and follow the signs towards Praia da Atalanta. You will drive through some scenic landscapes before reaching the beach area. Parking is available nearby.
Public Transportation
To reach Praia da Atalanta using public transport, you can take a 'Aluguer' (shared taxi) from Porto Novo to Riberia Grande. The ride takes about 30 minutes and costs approximately 150 CVE. Once in Riberia Grande, you will need to catch another 'Aluguer' heading towards Ponta Adiante. This leg of the journey will cost around 100 CVE and take about 20 minutes. Be sure to inform the driver that you want to go to Praia da Atalanta, and they will drop you off at the nearest point to the beach.
Walking
If you are near Ponta Adiante and prefer to walk, you can take a scenic route to Praia da Atalanta. Starting from the center of Ponta Adiante, head towards the coastline. Follow the footpath that leads you along the cliffs and through beautiful landscapes. The walk is roughly 2 kilometers and should take about 30-40 minutes. Make sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, as some parts of the path can be steep.
