Knott's Berry Farm: California's First Theme Park

Knott's Berry Farm, a 160-acre amusement park in Buena Park, California, has a fascinating history that began in the 1920s when Walter and Cordelia Knott sold berries from a roadside stand. In 1934, Cordelia began serving fried chicken dinners in a tea room, which became incredibly popular, drawing long lines of visitors. The park is also known for its seasonal events, such as Knott's Scary Farm in the fall and the Boysenberry Festival in the spring, celebrating the park's signature berry.
