Discover more about San Fransokyo Square

San Fransokyo Square, nestled in Disney California Adventure Park, is a captivating blend of San Francisco charm and Tokyo dynamism. Inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios' 'Big Hero 6', this area transports visitors to a not-too-distant future where East meets West in a delightful fusion. Once known as Pacific Wharf, the area was reimagined in 2023 to reflect the industrious spirit of San Fransokyo. The story behind the square tells of entrepreneurs who transformed seaside canneries into a vibrant, multicultural district after the technology industry emerged and the local fishing trade declined. This unique blend is evident in the architecture, cuisine, and overall atmosphere of the square. The San Fransokyo Gate Bridge, a 54-foot-tall structure that combines the Golden Gate Bridge style with Asian architectural elements, serves as the district's most recognizable landmark. Crossing the bridge from Paradise Gardens Park, visitors are greeted by a floating wind turbine atop an old fishing net tannery, symbolizing the district's innovative spirit. San Fransokyo Square offers a variety of dining experiences, including : * **Aunt Cass Café:** Inspired by Hiro's aunt, this café serves Japanese-inspired dishes and soups in Boudin sourdough bread bowls. * **Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill:** Enjoy hearty Mexican entrées. * **Lucky Fortune Cookery:** Grab fresh and delicious Asian-style meals on the go. * **Port of San Fransokyo Cervecería:** A beer garden offering a selection of Karl Strauss beverages for those 21 and older. * **Rita's Turbine Blenders:** Chill with frosty margaritas and frozen nonalcoholic concoctions. * **Ghirardelli Soda Fountain and Chocolate Shop:** Indulge in decadent desserts. Visitors can also shop for unique souvenirs at San Fransokyo Maker's Market and collect medallions featuring Baymax and other iconic images from San Fransokyo. Lucky visitors may even encounter Hiro Hamada and his huggable healthcare companion robot, Baymax, for a memorable photo opportunity.
