If you are in Long Beach, you can take the Metro Blue Line towards Washington Station. Get off at the Washington station and transfer to the Metro 200 bus towards Newport Beach. Stay on the bus for about 45 minutes and get off at the stop nearest to Pacific Coast Highway & Coast Hwy. From there, walk approximately 10 minutes north along East Coast Highway until you reach Sherman Library & Gardens.

Bicycle
If you prefer cycling, rent a bike from one of the local bike rental shops in Long Beach. Head towards the Long Beach bike path that runs along the coast. Follow the path south to reach the San Pedro bike path, which will take you along the beach and eventually connect to East Coast Highway. Continue cycling north on East Coast Highway, and after about a 1.5-hour ride, you will arrive at Sherman Library & Gardens.
