Soarin' Around the World: A Global Flight of Wonder

Soarin' Around the World, located in Disney California Adventure, offers a breathtaking simulated hang-gliding experience over some of the world's most iconic landmarks. As you settle into your seat, anticipation builds. The lights dim, and you're lifted into the air, suspended before a colossal 80-foot projection dome. The curved screen fills your field of vision, creating an immersive sensation of flight. Gentle breezes and subtle scents enhance the illusion, making you feel like you're truly soaring. The journey begins high above the majestic Swiss Alps. From there, you'll swoop past polar bears in icy Greenland, sail over Australia's Sydney Harbour, and weave through elephants marching towards Mount Kilimanjaro. The adventure continues with visits to the Great Wall of China, the Egyptian Pyramids, the Taj Mahal, Monument Valley, Fiji's Lau Island, and the thundering Iguazu Falls. The grand finale is a dazzling view of the Eiffel Tower sparkling at night. Originally, this attraction was known as Soarin' Over California, which debuted in 2001. In 2016, the ride was updated to Soarin' Around the World, expanding the experience to include global destinations. The updated version features a new musical score by Bruce Broughton, who adapted the original themes by Jerry Goldsmith, adding regional instruments and international influences.
