Discover more about Taylor Family Vineyards

Taylor Family Vineyards, nestled in the Stags Leap District of Napa Valley, offers a unique and intimate wine-tasting experience steeped in five generations of Napa farming heritage. Established as a wine brand in 2002 by Sandy and Phil Taylor, the vineyard's story began in 1976 when Jerry and Pat Taylor purchased the land, planting the first vines in 1980. This transformation from grape growers to vintners reflects the family's deep connection to the land and their commitment to crafting exceptional wines that honor their legacy. Jerry Taylor, a fifth-generation Napa resident, transitioned from a career as an engineer to fulfilling his dream of farming. With the help of his wife, Pat, and their children, Scott, Sandy, and Mike, he planted the first vines, laying the foundation for what would become a thriving family business. Today, three generations of the Taylor family operate the business, and they are its only employees. Taylor Family Vineyards produces approximately 2,200 cases of wine annually, available exclusively through the winery. The focus is on Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux-style varietals, reflecting the rich terroir of the Stags Leap District. Winemaker Gustavo Brambila supports the family philosophy by using a gentle hand to preserve the rich characteristics of the estate fruit. Tastings are often hosted by 7th generation Napa Valley resident Danielle, along with her grandmother, Nana, pairing their wines with local cheeses.
