In 2019, it underwent a significant renovation, replacing the original wooden structures with modern, durable equipment while maintaining the spirit of the original design. The renovation project involved a variety of stakeholders from the City of Napa and the local community. The playground features distinct areas for younger and older children, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all. The design cleverly utilizes space, incorporating sand pits, swings, slides, and interactive musical toys that captivate young imaginations. Artist Gordon Huether contributed a unique installation using recycled aircraft fuel tanks and brightly painted steel trusses.
