Public Transit - BART and Bus
From downtown Berkeley, head to the Downtown Berkeley BART Station located at 2160 Shattuck Ave. Board a train heading towards San Francisco/Daly City. Get off at the Montgomery St. Station. Once you exit the station, follow the signs to the Muni Metro. Take the N-Judah Muni Metro line towards Ocean Beach. Get off at the 9th Ave & Irving St stop. From there, walk north on 9th Ave for about 10 minutes until you reach Kezar Drive in Golden Gate Park, where the Carousel Ride is located.
Walking
If you are near UC Berkeley, start at Sproul Plaza. Head west on Bancroft Way, then turn left onto Telegraph Ave. Walk straight down Telegraph until you reach the intersection with Ashby Ave. Turn right and continue walking until you reach the Ashby BART station. From there, follow the Public Transit route described above.
Public Transit - AC Transit Bus
From downtown Berkeley, walk to the nearest AC Transit bus stop. You can catch the 51B bus towards the 'San Francisco' direction. Ride the bus until you reach the 'Kezar Drive & Stanyan' stop. From the bus stop, walk north along Kezar Drive for about 5 minutes until you reach the Carousel Ride located in Golden Gate Park.
Biking
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing stations around Berkeley. Head towards the Bay Trail and follow it west until you reach Golden Gate Park. Once you enter the park, navigate towards Kezar Drive, where the Carousel Ride is located. It's about a 30-minute bike ride from central Berkeley.
