BART
From any location in Berkeley, head to the nearest BART station, either Downtown Berkeley or North Berkeley. Purchase a ticket to San Francisco. Board a San Francisco-bound train and travel approximately 20 minutes. Get off at the Civic Center/UN Plaza station. Once you exit the station, walk east on Market St toward 7th St, then turn left onto McAllister St. Continue walking until you reach Civic Center Plaza at 335 McAllister St.
Bus
Find the nearest AC Transit bus stop. Take the bus line 51B (towards the Transbay Terminal) or 1R (Rapid) toward San Francisco. Ride until you reach the stop at McAllister St. and 7th St. From there, walk a block east along McAllister St, and you will arrive at Civic Center Plaza, 335 McAllister St.
Walking
If you are already near downtown Berkeley, you can walk to Civic Center Plaza. Head south on Shattuck Ave toward University Ave. Continue on Shattuck Ave until you reach the bus terminal. From there, take the pedestrian path to the downtown Berkeley BART station. Once at the BART station, follow the previous BART directions to reach Civic Center Plaza.
