Getting There

  • Walking

    If you are in downtown Berkeley, start at the intersection of Shattuck Avenue and University Avenue. Head north on Shattuck Avenue for about 0.5 miles until you reach the intersection with Hearst Avenue. Turn right onto Hearst Avenue and walk for another 0.2 miles. You will pass by the UC Berkeley campus on your left. Continue on Hearst Avenue until you reach the end, which will lead you to a path that goes into the hills. Follow the path as it winds upward, and you will soon see Founders Rock on your left. The total walk should take around 20-30 minutes depending on your pace.

  • Public Transport

    From downtown Berkeley, you can take the AC Transit bus #7 or #15 from the stop on Shattuck Avenue. Ride the bus for about 10 minutes and get off at the stop at Euclid Avenue and Hearst Avenue.
