From downtown Berkeley, walk to the nearest BART station, which is the Downtown Berkeley Station located at 2174 Shattuck Ave. Take the BART train towards the Richmond direction and get off at the North Berkeley Station. Once you exit the station, you can catch the AC Transit bus. Board the 65 bus heading towards 'Grizzly Peak Blvd'. Stay on the bus until you reach the stop at 'Grizzly Peak Blvd & Wildcat Canyon Road'. From there, it’s a short walk uphill to the Grizzly Peak Blvd Overlook.

If you are close to the UC Berkeley campus, start at Sproul Plaza. Head east on Bancroft Way until you reach Telegraph Ave. Turn left on Telegraph Ave and continue north until you reach the intersection with Ashby Ave. Here, turn right and continue walking until you reach the intersection with Grizzly Peak Blvd. Head up Grizzly Peak Blvd, and follow the road until you reach the overlook. This route is steep and may take around an hour, so be prepared for a workout.

If you have a bike, start from the Berkeley Marina. Head east on University Ave until you reach San Pablo Ave. Turn left onto San Pablo Ave and then right onto Ashby Ave. Continue on Ashby Ave until you reach Grizzly Peak Blvd. Turn left onto Grizzly Peak Blvd and follow it up to the overlook. This route is approximately 4 miles and includes some steep inclines, so be ready for a challenge!
