From downtown Berkeley, walk to the nearest bus stop at Shattuck Ave & University Ave. Take the AC Transit bus line 1 or 7 towards San Francisco. Stay on the bus for approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the Castro St & 18th St stop in San Francisco. From there, walk about 5 minutes to Jane Warner Plaza, located at the intersection of Castro St and 17th St.
BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit)
From downtown Berkeley, walk to the Downtown Berkeley BART station. Take a train heading towards San Francisco/Daly City. Get off at the 16th St Mission station. Transfer to the Muni Metro at the station and take the K, L, or M line towards the Castro area. Get off at the Castro station. Jane Warner Plaza is a short 3-minute walk from the station, located at Castro St & 17th St.
Bicycle
If you prefer biking, you can rent a bike from a local bike rental shop in Berkeley. Head south on Shattuck Ave and then turn onto University Ave heading towards the Bay Bridge. Continue to follow the bike lanes, crossing into San Francisco. Once in San Francisco, make your way towards Castro St. Jane Warner Plaza will be at the intersection of Castro St and 17th St. The ride will take about 30-40 minutes depending on your speed.
Walking
If you're up for a longer walk, you can walk directly from downtown Berkeley to San Francisco. Head south on Shattuck Ave, and follow it until you reach the Bay Bridge pedestrian walkway. Cross the bridge, enjoying the views. Once in San Francisco, navigate towards the Castro district. Jane Warner Plaza is located at the intersection of Castro St and 17th St, and the entire journey may take around 1.5 to 2 hours.
