Get off at the 19th St Oakland station and transfer to the AC Transit bus Line 7 at the bus terminal outside the station. Board the bus heading towards San Francisco and ride until you reach the stop at Broadway & Lyon St. From there, walk a short distance to the Lyon Street Steps located at 2990-2996 Lyon St.

If you prefer to bike, you can rent a bike from one of the many bike-sharing stations in Berkeley. Start at the Berkeley Bike Share station near the UC Berkeley campus. Head south on Shattuck Ave, then take a left on University Ave. Continue towards the Bay Bridge and cross into San Francisco. Once in San Francisco, follow the bike paths to reach Pacific Heights. The Lyon Street Steps will be on your right at the intersection of Lyon St and Broadway.

For those who enjoy a good walk, start from the UC Berkeley campus. Head south on Telegraph Ave towards the downtown area. Turn left on University Ave and continue until you reach the waterfront. From there, follow the path along the bay towards the Golden Gate Bridge. Once you reach the Marina District, follow the signs to Pacific Heights. The Lyon Street Steps will be located at the intersection of Lyon St and Broadway.
