From the downtown Berkeley area, walk to the nearest bus stop at Shattuck Ave & University Ave. Take the AC Transit Bus Line 67 towards the Richmond BART station. Ride for about 20 minutes until you reach the stop at 'Tamalpais Dr & Panoramic Hwy'. From there, transfer to the Marin Transit Route 61 bus that goes directly to Mt. Tamalpais. The bus ride will take approximately 30 minutes. Get off at the 'Mt. Tamalpais' stop and follow the signs to the visitor center.
